Location: San Leandro, CA


Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience

About the Opportunity


An innovative clean energy company is seeking a Chemical Technician to support the development and production of next-generation battery materials. This role is ideal for individuals with laboratory experience who are interested in chemistry, materials science, and advanced manufacturing technologies.


The Chemical Technician will work closely with scientists and engineers to synthesize, characterize, and evaluate new materials while maintaining accurate laboratory documentation and following established procedures.


Key Responsibilities


+ Assist with the synthesis and characterization of advanced materials.

+ Perform laboratory experiments and material preparation using established procedures.

+ Conduct material characterization using analytical instruments and testing equipment.

+ Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain detailed laboratory records.

+ Accurately document experimental procedures, observations, and results.

+ Support data collection, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

+ Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.

+ Assist with troubleshooting laboratory processes and equipment as needed.


Qualifications


+ At least 2 years of experience in a laboratory, chemical processing, manufacturing, production, or related technical environment.

+ Hands-on experience working with chemicals, laboratory equipment, or material processing.

+ Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and chemical handling procedures.

+ Experience with material characterization techniques is a plus but not required.

+ Ability to maintain accurate records and follow written procedures.

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+ Interest in science, technology, advanced materials, or clean energy industries.

+ Ability to safely lift and move equipment and materials up to 45 lbs. (20 kg).


Job Type & Location


This is a Contract position based out of San Leandro, CA.


Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.


Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
