Certified Nursing Assistant

As a certified nursing assistant, you will have the rewarding opportunity to act as the primary caregiver to our patients with varied levels of mobility who require daily assistance and help them with getting dressed, eating daily meals, changing bedpans, and going to the restroom. Attend to the basic care and daily living needs of patients including going to the restroom, bathing, eating daily meals, taking proper medication dosages, and getting dressed.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with regular exercise as needed to maintain physical health and mobility level
• Keep each room up to high standards of sanitization by changing bedpans and sheets and performing regular room cleaning
• Record patient vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and blood oxygen level
• Attend to the basic care and daily living needs of patients including going to the restroom, bathing, eating daily meals, taking proper medication dosages, and getting dressed
• Convey relevant patient data and information to supervising nurse, family members, and other facility staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Proficient computer skills and experience using computer database to ensure patient history is accurately recorded
• Candidates must have already completed the state-approved CNA training program and received CNA certification from a medical facility, vocational school, or community college
• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required for this position
• Capable of administering catheters and enemas, preferred, but not required
• Should have strong physical stamina to reposition and lift patients from beds to examination tables for wheelchairs and move medical equipment
