Novant Health Pediatrics Mint Hill is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant!

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, no weekends

What You'll Do

• Room patients and obtain vital signs to support accurate assessment and treatment planning.
• Collect and document patient medical histories, ensuring complete and up-to-date records.
• Administer vaccines and injections in accordance with provider orders and clinical protocols.
• Perform point-of-care testing (POCT) and accurately record results in patient charts.
• Provide direct patient care and collaborate with physicians to support efficient clinic operations and positive patient outcomes.

What We're Looking For

• Education:

• High School Diploma or GED, required.

• Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement, required.

• Experience:

• Previous work in a medical office, preferred.

• Licensure/Certification:

• Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required.

• Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.

• Additional Skills (required):

• Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
