Position: Certified Medical Assistant

Location: San Francisco, CA 94105

Duration: 8-week contract (possible extension or perm. conversion)

Pay: $30/hr.

Setting: Primary care / Occupational health employee clinic

Schedule: 40 hours weekly, 8 am - 5 pm (Mon - Fri) | No weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site healthcare services for employees; this position does not involve pediatric patients.

• Room patients and obtain and document vital signs and other relevant clinical information.

• Prepare, clean, and disinfect examination rooms and medical instruments in accordance with infection-control protocols.

• Monitor medical supply inventory, place orders as needed, and ensure supplies are properly maintained and within expiration dates.

• Operate EKG equipment and perform point-of-care (POC) testing as required.

• Administer injections and treatments and perform routine laboratory testing within the scope of practice.

• Schedule patient appointments and conduct follow-up calls as needed.

• Complete required administrative documentation, including client-specific and OSHA-regulated forms.

• Provide clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers as needed.

• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of recent CMA experience in primary care, urgent care, occupational health, or a similar setting is required.

• EPIC EMR experience is preferred.

• Must be a nationally certified "Medical Assistant" OR have the ability to provide a Medical Assistant diploma with transcripts.

• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) or the ability to obtain it.
