    Work Shift

    Day (United States of America)

    Performs assigned patient care duties under the direction of a licensed provider (MD/PA/NP) or RN. Responsible for performing CMA clinical duties to include, but not limited to obtain vital signs, administer limited profile of medications/ injections per approved policy, perform simple diagnostic tests, collect specimens, draw blood, clean equipment, order/stock supplies and maintain exam rooms in an outpatient care setting. Assists in emergency situations as directed by licensed provider or RN. Duties are practice site specific and may fluctuate based on location.

    This position does require weekend call.

    Position Requirements: High school diploma or GED from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization with completion of an accredited medical assistant program.

    Certified as a Medical Assistant by one of the following bodies: AAMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or MedCA. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS).

    Ability to work with all age groups. Good customer service and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records. Skills in phlebotomy, EKG and manual BP.
