CDL Special Education Bus Driver (Calendar Year)

CDL Special Education School Bus Driver (Calendar Year) Start Date: Immediate Responsibilities include:

• Transport district special education students (and adult chaperones as needed) between home and school following an assigned bus route, as well as for school activities
• Assist students on and off the bus according to their individual needs, including emergency exit
• Monitor student behavior to maintain a safe environment
• Operate wheelchair lift, harness, and other special equipment safely
• Communicate with teachers, parents, transportation manager, and the Special Education Director as needed
• Perform daily safety inspection of vehicle(s) including fuel check, check fluid levels and report repair needs and complete incident reports as required
• Occasionally perform work beyond the standard 40-hour work week
• Maintain all licensing and certificates and submit to random drug and alcohol screenings
• Other job-related duties as assigned
