Responsibilities:
- Safely operate an 18-wheeler (tractor-trailer) for long-distance hauls across the United States.
- Transport goods to various destinations while ensuring on-time delivery.
- Inspect the vehicle before and after trips, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle service/repair status.
- Follow all applicable traffic laws, weight limits, and road safety guidelines.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues immediately.
- Ensure proper handling and securement of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and updates.
Must-Haves:
- Valid CDL Class A license with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience (Team driving experience is a plus)
- Proven experience operating tractor-trailers, flatbeds, or other commercial trucks.
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug test
- Having a passport is a plus
