CDL A Instructor/Driver Trainer

As an Instructor, you'll use your experience behind the wheel to prepare new drivers for successful careers, not just help them pass a test. What You’ll Do

• Train new CDL students in backing, maneuvering, road driving, and defensive driving techniques

• Provide real-time coaching with clear, respectful, and constructive feedback

• Demonstrate safe driving habits and professional decision-making every day

• Adapt your teaching style to meet different learning personalities and experience levels

• Evaluate trainee progress and identify areas needing additional coaching

• Partner with fellow instructors to continually improve our training program

• Help develop confident, safety-focused professional drivers

Who We’re Looking For

• CDL-A required with solid driving experience

• Excellent safety record and strong commitment to doing things the right way

• Patient, calm, and confident when coaching others

• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with a wide variety of personalities

• Dependable, professional, and comfortable working outdoors in all seasons

• Someone who enjoys helping others succeed and takes pride in seeing trainees grow

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• At least 3 years of experience with Class A tractor trailers

• Reefer experience preferred

• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years

• No DUIs in the past 5 years

• Able to pass a DOT physical, drug screen and background check
