Cargo Transportation Assistant

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-minded Cargo Transportation Assistant to support our client's drivers with day-to-day delivery operations. This role ensures efficient transportation, accurate deliveries, and excellent customer service while maintaining compliance with company and DOT standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist driver with navigation, route planning, and communication with dispatch.

• Verify delivery documentation, packing slips, and signatures.

• Provide customer service at delivery sites, ensuring professionalism and positive interaction.

• Help maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any safety or mechanical issues.

• Support the driver with safety checks, including securing loads and monitoring traffic conditions.

• Act as a second set of eyes for safety, ensuring proper backing, parking, and maneuvering in tight areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous warehouse, delivery, or logistics experience a plus.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Punctual, dependable, and safety-focused.
