Do you love working with kids, being outdoors, and creating unforgettable summer experiences? The YMCA of Greater Richmond is hiring Summer Camp Program Assistants to join our energetic and supportive team!
About the Role
As a Summer Camp Program Assistant you'll play a key role in creating a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for campers. You'll help lead activities, build positive relationships, and help make summer memories that last a lifetime.
Key Responsibilities
Help supervise and engage children in daily camp activities
Ensure camper safety and follow all camp policies and procedures
Build positive relationships with campers, families, and fellow staff
Serve as a role model by demonstrating teamwork, responsibility, and enthusiasm
Assist with setup, cleanup, and general camp operations as needed
Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years old
No prior experience is required
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Energetic, dependable, and positive attitude
Ability to spend time outdoors and participate in physical activities
CPR/First Aid certification a plus (training may be provided)
Compensation
Pay: $14 per hour, based on experience
