Summary:
- We are seeking a highly motivated Business Systems & Automation Analyst to support the integration, automation, and optimization of manufacturing and laboratory data systems.
- This role will serve as a critical bridge between Operations, Quality, and IT by enabling seamless data flow across ERP systems, scheduling tools, and laboratory workflows.
- The ideal candidate will drive the development of automated solutions that connect production orders, scheduling, lab execution, and qualification workflows, while enabling real-time visibility through dashboards and reporting tools.
- This is a contract role supporting a high-impact initiative to modernize and scale data-driven operations.
Responsibilities
Systems Integration & Automation
- Design and implement automated data workflows connecting Microsoft Dynamics NAV (ERP) with scheduling tools, lab workflows, and reporting systems
- Establish end-to-end data flow from production order creation, scheduling, execution, and qualification to reporting
- Integrate systems to enable real-time updates across Operations
Production Scheduling Enablement
- Develop and support a production scheduling framework/system that optimizes resources for maximum output
- Improve scheduling efficiency, reducing manual coordination and delays
Data Management & Database Development
- Architect scalable databases to support production, lab, and quality workflows
- Create data pipelines to pull data from various systems and transformation to enable KPI's and ad hoc analysis
- Cleanse, standardize, and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems
- Develop data governance policies, standards, and best practices to maintain data integrity and compliance
- Ensure data integrity, accessibility, and scalability across platforms
Reporting & Visualization
- Develop Power BI dashboards to provide real-time insights catered to varying audiences
- Identify issues and create actionable alerts
- Replace manual reporting processes with automated, scalable solutions
Lab Systems & Data Integration
- Support backend data integration from laboratory systems (e.g., Chromeleon)
- Enable linkage between lab data and electronic batch records (e.g., Dozuki or equivalent systems)
- Streamline sample tracking and qualification workflows
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Systems, or related field
- 1 3 years of experience in business systems, data analysis, or automation-focused roles
- Exposure to manufacturing, biotech, or lab environments
- Experience with workflow automation tools (Power Automate, scripting, etc.)
- Familiarity with electronic batch records systems (e.g., Dozuki or similar)
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced level required, macros, Power Query, complex formulas), SQL, Python
- Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics/Navision preferred)
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
- Experience integrating data from laboratory systems (e.g., Chromeleon or similar platforms)
- Basic understanding of database setup and data structures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, lab, and technical teams
