Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a Business Office Coordinator to provide procurement, reimbursement, and travel support. The position is responsible for processing purchase orders, invoices, reimbursements, and travel transactions; collaborating with faculty, staff, vendors, and campus partners to resolve issues; and ensuring timely and accurate processing in accordance with University policies and procedures. The role also supports process improvement efforts and other departmental projects and initiatives as needed.

Hourly Salary Range: $34.30 - $52.20

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Analytical skills necessary to evaluate the cost effectiveness of purchasing options.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to read and interpret terms and conditions of contracts.
  • Working level of proficiency in the use of standard spreadsheet and word processing software.
  • Ability to set priorities and complete ongoing tasks with competing deadlines, with frequent interruptions, with high degree of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate medical, policy and administrative information in English.

Preferred:

  • 3+ years purchasing experience
  • Some knowledge of the organization's departments and operations required in order to meet their procurement needs
  • Understands procurement policies and systems such as Procurement, Travel systems, etc.
