Business Development Manager - Erection Sales

Help an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector land more of the Midwest's biggest steel jobs, projects of 5,000+ tons. This is a permanent full-time Business Development Manager position paying $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, with regular Midwest travel.

Day-to-day focus

• Build a steady flow of steel erection work from owners and general contractors around the Midwest
• Lead the pursuit game plan on structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Stay on top of upcoming bids, competitor positioning, and regional project pipelines
• Carry the name of an AISC-certified Michigan erector into client meetings and industry events
• Travel throughout the Midwest to grow relationships and push pursuits to award

Background we want

• Business development or sales experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• A record of chasing and winning large-tonnage projects in the Midwest
• Relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners are a plus
• Open to frequent Midwest travel
• Persuasive communicator who closes
