    We're looking to add someone to our team as a Business Development Manager.

    That means developing strong relationships with thought leaders, expert trainers, authors, and organizations across the fields we serve; keeping a sharp eye on new developments, emerging topics, and important conversations, and seeking out distinctive voices whose perspectives and approaches will help our students excel at their work in the mental health and healthcare fields.

    What You Will Be Doing: (responsibilities)

    • Identify the latest trends, techniques, approaches, topics, and voices in the psychotherapy field that are most relevant to professionals
    • Turn those ideas into compelling webinars, conferences, courses, and training programs that therapists will find useful and want to attend
    • Build strong relationships with leading trainers from across the field and from a variety of approaches to therapy
    • Use data-driven insights to shape marketing strategies, position events effectively, and create persuasive offers that attract clinicians seeking practical, relevant, and impactful professional training. Collaborate effectively across the organization with various departments to bring educational products and programs to market in a timely manner
    • Actively build your understanding of psychotherapy, counseling, and mental health fields
    • Use performance data and market trends to evaluate marketing strategies, refine campaign direction, and improve future results
    • Work both independently and collaboratively by creating goals for yourself, meeting deadlines, and communicating ideas clearly to team members
    • Bring an entrepreneurial mindset by spotting opportunities, testing ideas, learning from results, and looking for what's next

    What You Bring to the Team: (skills, mindset, and requirements)

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred; 3-5 years' experience in one or more areas of marketing, new business development, product development, or business ownership
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Evening/weekend calls/emails when emergencies might arise with speakers and travel/event issues
    • Flexibility to be self-motivated but also excel in a team environment
    • A keen entrepreneurial drive
    • Creativity, adaptability, curiosity, and a genuine belief that learning can be fun
    • Comfort collaborating with others, asking questions, seeking advice, and saying "I don't know" when there is more to learn
    • Ability to be candid, respectfully disagree, and support ideas with data while staying open to where that data leads
    • Drive to find "what's next," take smart risks, learn from failure, and stay in the driver's seat of your career
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects while ensuring accuracy, quality, and on-time completion
    • Excellent problem-solving skills in a challenging and fast-paced environment
    • Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft applications
    • Persuasion, copywriting, storytelling, and enough comfort with numbers and margins to make good business decisions; we can teach these skills if they do not come naturally yet
    • Openness to travel to events and conferences
