Business Development Manager Location: Aurora, IL

Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to lead revenue growth through strategic, solution-based selling of advanced technology offerings. This role is ideal for a high-performing sales professional with experience in networking, cybersecurity, access control, and video security solutions, particularly within state, local, and education (SLED) markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the full sales cycle: prospect, qualify, develop, propose, and close deals
- Align technology and smart infrastructure solutions with client business objectives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executive decision-makers in new and existing accounts
- Lead the development of customized proposals in collaboration with technical and operations teams
- Support quoting and pricing strategies to ensure competitive and profitable offerings
- Maintain and manage an active sales pipeline within CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot)
- Leverage channel partnerships and reseller relationships to expand market presence
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between sales and delivery teams
- Deliver compelling presentations and negotiate contract terms
- Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive positioning
- Represent the organization at industry events and networking opportunities
- Foster long-term client relationships and support account growth initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of proven success in IT, networking, security, or smart infrastructure sales
- Demonstrated ability to sell directly and through technology partners
- Experience with solution-based selling to executive leadership in enterprise and public sector markets
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and low voltage security/surveillance systems
- Proven track record of managing complex sales cycles and achieving revenue targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven with a strong hunter mentality
- Experience developing sales proposals and supporting quoting processes
