Business Analyst - Lansing, MI

Duration: 12+ months, Hybrid

Responsibilities:

• Document clear, unambiguous, and testable business requirements.
• Serve as the ScrumMaster on campaign finance related projects.
• Coordinate with the PMO’s Project Manager for necessary documentation.
• Work with project team and stakeholders to examine existing and future-state business processes, data, and systems.
• Create test plans with the business area, ensuring repeatable processes are in place beyond the lifecycle of the current project.
• Facilitate requirement gathering meetings to identify impacted business processes and document the project business requirements.
• Develop and maintain the project backlog during Agile projects and work with the product owner to set priority throughout the duration of project.
• Ensure appropriate resolution of critical IT issues as it pertains to the BA role.
• Ensure SEM (system engineering methodology) deliverables for the project are completed, reviewed, and approved in alignment with area processes.
• Work directly with project team including vendor partners for roles such as: UI/UX, solution architects, database administrators, developers, QA testers, and others to ensure understanding of the requirements, functionality, size, and scalability of the IT solution.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a business analyst
• 5+ years of experience with agile tools (comfortable with creating epics/features/user stories for projects as well as moving cards through project lifecycle)
• 5+ years of experience understanding BA, QA, and DEV roles/responsibilities
• 5+ years of experience with as-is/to-be processes and content creation

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Adept with using BA tools (e.g., FIGMA, Visio)
• 2+ years of experience in QA
