Business Analyst II

The Business Analyst II serves as a strategic business partner responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making, operational excellence, and business performance improvement. The successful candidate excels at connecting data to business outcomes and communicating insights in a way that influences actions and delivers measurable results.

The Business Analyst II serves as a strategic business partner responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making, operational excellence, and business performance improvement. This role combines analytical expertise, business acumen, and executive storytelling to identify trends, evaluate risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations that support organizational objectives. Approximately 35% of time is dedicated to analytics and performance measurement, 25% to executive insight generation and storytelling, 20% to business partnership and consultation, 15% to reporting and dashboard development, and 5% to continuous improvement and team contributions. The successful candidate excels at connecting data to business outcomes and communicating insights in a way that influences actions and delivers measurable results.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Performance Measurement, Analytics & Insights (35%)
• Analyze operational, customer, financial, and risk-related performance data to identify trends, drivers, opportunities, and emerging risks.
• Develop and maintain KPI frameworks, scorecards, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
• Conduct root cause analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
• Monitor performance trends and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support forecasting, planning, and business performance management activities.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting solutions.

 

2. Executive Storytelling & Business Recommendations (25%)
• Translate complex analyses into concise, executive-ready narratives and presentations.
• Connect performance outcomes to customer, associate, operational, financial, and risk impacts.
• Present findings, implications, and recommendations to leaders and stakeholders.
• Develop business cases and decision-support materials.
• Clearly communicate the "so what" behind performance results.

 

3. Business Partnership & Consultation (20%)
• Partner with business, operations, technology, and support teams to understand priorities and challenges.
• Facilitate requirements gathering, discovery sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor by providing objective, data-driven recommendations.
• Establish strong working relationships across multiple business units and support functions.
• Collaborate with partners to define success measures and performance objectives.

 

4. Reporting, Dashboard Development & Automation (15%)
• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, scorecards, and visualizations.
• Utilize Tableau, Power BI, Excel, SQL, and other tools to improve reporting capabilities.
• Support reporting automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Validate reporting outputs and improve accessibility of business information.

 

5. Continuous Improvement & Team Contributions (5%)
• Support special projects and strategic initiatives.
• Document processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Contribute to a collaborative, team-first culture.
• Participate in ongoing learning and development activities.

 

Qualifications:
Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 4 years' experience in Analytics, or Modeling, or Reporting OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 8 years' experience in Analytics, or Modeling, or Reporting
