Business Analyst - Data Management & Contracts
Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst in Data Management & Contracts to support a high-impact data modernization initiative. This role will operate within a product-based model and focus on delivering a high volume of data contracts, metadata construction, and governance documentation within tight timelines. The ideal candidate is a strong, execution-focused BA with exposure to data governance, lineage, and metadata, capable of working across large-scale, multi-region data environments. This is a fast-paced, delivery-heavy role requiring someone who can intake, structure, and validate data requirements quickly across hundreds of databases.
Responsibilities
- Author, update, and manage data contracts.
- Perform metadata construction (70%) and conversion (30%).
- Intake and document requirements using Power Apps/structured forms.
- Validate deliverables with the Data Product Team and project managers.
- Support data lineage, source systems, uptime tracking, and RIM policies.
- Contribute to data platform modernization efforts and current system activation.
- Work across multiple regions and align with governance and delivery teams.
- Maintain accuracy and quality in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
Requirements
- Background as a Data Steward or BA in data-centric environments.
- Strong business analyst experience (primary focus).
- Proven ability to handle large volumes of structured documentation/work.
- Experience with data contracts, metadata, or data governance processes.
- Familiarity with data lineage and data management concepts.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder collaboration skills (Product, PM, Governance teams).
- Experience working with forms-based intake tools (e.g., Power Apps or similar).
Preferred
- Experience supporting large-scale data platforms or migrations.
- Exposure to RIM policies, uptime tracking, and system governance frameworks.
- Solid understanding of data integration and distributed data environments.
- Prior exposure to AI-enabled process automation.
- Experience managing multi-region data operations.
This is a 9-month Contract opportunity with our Wichita, KS client.
