    Description

We're not just hiring someone to run a kitchen. We're hiring someone to lead people.

At Chick-fil-A Collier Township, our kitchen is the heartbeat of everything we do. We serve a high volume of guests who expect fresh, accurate, fast food every single time — and that doesn't happen without someone in the kitchen who takes genuine ownership of the result.

We're looking for a BOH Kitchen Leader — someone who can step into a Manager or Assistant Director level role depending on your experience — who leads by example, develops the people around them, and holds the standard when no one's watching.

You'd be working directly for an independent Owner/Operator who came from a 31-year career in technology and runs this business with the same discipline, intentionality, and people-first mindset. That's not a tagline. It shows up in how we invest in this team.

What we pay and what we offer

    • Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience — Manager and Assistant Director levels compensated differently; we'll be straightforward with you about the rate in our first conversation
    • Bonus potential tied to restaurant performance metrics.
    • Every Sunday off. Every one. Guaranteed. That's the Chick-fil-A difference — and at a leadership level, it matters even more.
    • A free meal every shift you work — no minimum hours, no exceptions.

    Full leadership team benefits include:

    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance with employer contribution
    • 401(k) with employer match
    • Life insurance
    • Paid time off

All team members (including leadership) receive:

    • 100% free college tuition through Point University — Associates, Bachelor's, and Master's degrees, fully online, available from day one
    • Scholarship opportunities
    • Intentional development — we invest in where you're going, not just what you're doing today
    • Lots of fun team events and celebrations throughout the year

    What you'll own

This is a hands-on leadership role. You're not managing from an office — you're in the kitchen, setting the standard, and developing the people around you.

    Kitchen Operations:

    • Own food quality, speed, and accuracy across all BOH stations during your shifts
    • Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, assembled, and presented to Chick-fil-A standards — consistently, every shift
    • Manage food safety protocols, temperature logs, and health code compliance without exception
    • Oversee inventory, ordering, and waste reduction — you understand that margin matters
    • Lead and execute opening and/or closing procedures thoroughly and completely

    People Leadership:

    • Directly supervise, coach, and develop BOH team members and shift leaders
    • Build a kitchen culture where people are held accountable and want to show up
    • Identify and develop your next shift leader — we promote from within and expect our leaders to build the bench
    • Conduct or support team member training, onboarding, and performance conversations
    • Communicate clearly with FOH leadership to keep the full operation in sync

    Operational Excellence:

    • Monitor and drive key metrics: speed of service, food cost, waste, and quality scores
    • Identify problems before they become patterns and bring solutions, not just observations
    • Support the Owner/Operator in driving continuous improvement across BOH systems and processes

    What we're looking for:

    Experience:

    • 2+ years in a kitchen leadership role in a high-volume QSR, fast casual, or full-service environment
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, not just manage tasks
    • Familiarity with food safety standards (ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
    • Experience with inventory management, scheduling, or food cost controls is a plus

    Character and approach:

    • You hold the standard even when it's inconvenient — for yourself and your team
    • You lead with a servant's heart: you make the people around you better
    • You communicate directly and honestly — up, down, and across the team
    • You're growth-oriented — you want to get better, and you help others do the same
    • You're reliable and present: when you're on the schedule, you're there and you're locked in

    Availability:

    • Open availability across day parts — this role isn't limited to one shift
    • Must be 18 or older
    • Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a physically demanding kitchen environment
    • Every Sunday Off!!!
