Billing Senior Specialist / Senior Specialist - Revenue Operations to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $90k - $105k
Position Overview: The Billing Senior Specialist / Senior Specialist - Revenue Operations will coordinate complex billing activities, prepare and analyze client billing requests, manage invoice processing, and support electronic billing submission and resolution. The ideal candidate brings strong legal billing experience, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities of the Billing Senior Specialist / Senior Specialist - Revenue Operations:- Create, edit, review, and finalize client invoices in accordance with firm policies, client billing guidelines, and billing attorney instructions.
- Review billing proformas, process revisions and corrections, and coordinate electronic billing submissions.
- Prepare and finalize invoices in accordance with applicable internal policies, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure successful invoice delivery and collaborate with revenue and e-billing teams to resolve rejected or reduced invoices.
- Generate and review billing proformas using financial and billing systems.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, client inquiries, and payment-related issues.
- Utilize billing and accounts receivable systems to complete billing transactions, client refunds, and related financial processes.
- Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation.
- Communicate professionally with attorneys, internal stakeholders, clients, and Revenue Operations team members.
- Handle highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and proprietary information with discretion.
- Prioritize multiple billing deadlines and ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
Required Experience/Skills for the Billing Senior Specialist / Senior Specialist - Revenue Operations:- Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, collections, accounts receivable, or a related revenue function.
- Legal billing experience required.
- Strong understanding of billing processes and client invoicing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with employees and leadership at all levels.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information professionally.
- Experience working with financial or billing systems.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Billing Senior Specialist / Senior Specialist - Revenue Operations:- Elite 3E billing experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with electronic billing platforms and processes.
- Previous experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Experience managing complex client billing requirements and resolving billing rejections or reductions.
- Broader experience in accounting, finance, collections, or accounts receivable is beneficial.
Education Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Equivalent experience will be considered.
