Utility & Energy Retail Operations Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Utility & Energy Retail Operations Analyst to support daily workflow execution and exception handling within a fast-paced operations environment. This role focuses heavily on payment reconciliation within the utility/energy sector and cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate financial processing and excellent service delivery.

Utility & Energy Retail Operations Analyst Responsibilities

• Monitor and execute day-to-day operational workflows, ensuring SLA compliance
• Perform utility payment reconciliation against customer invoicing with high accuracy
• Investigate and resolve medium to complex exceptions and discrepancies
• Collaborate with IT, project teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Maintain data integrity and support process improvements within Retail Operations
• Deliver a high-quality service experience to internal and external customers

Utility & Energy Retail Operations Analyst Qualifications

Core Requirements:

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with keen attention to detail
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and CRM systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Proven time management and prioritization skills
• Adaptability to evolving systems and processes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the utility or energy industry (strongly preferred)
• Background in Accounting, Payment Reconciliation, or EDI
• Familiarity with SQL (nice to have)
• Experience in issue resolution within operations or finance environments

Additional Requirements:

• Availability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Ability to maintain a distraction-free home office with required equipment
• Positive attitude, initiative, and flexibility
