Benefits Coordinator (Temp-to-Perm)

Location: New York, NY (Fully Onsite)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm

Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 (based on experience)

Overview

Join a growing team and organization as a Benefits Coordinator supporting day-to-day HR operations and benefits administration. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and analytical professional who is comfortable working with HRIS systems, reporting, and employee benefits programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefits programs including enrollments, changes, and terminations

  • Maintain and update employee benefit data within HRIS systems (Paycom), ensuring accuracy and compliance

  • Generate recurring and ad hoc reports related to benefits, utilizing Excel and HR systems

  • Analyze data trends and support reporting initiatives for HR and management

  • Assist with open enrollment processes, including preparation of materials and tracking enrollments

  • Develop presentations, materials, and videos to support employee education and benefits communication

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, and plan details

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors/carriers to support benefits administration Support audits, reconciliations, and ensure accuracy of benefits-related data and deductions

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of HR or benefits administration experience

  • Experience working with HRIS systems (Paycom preferred)

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, HLOOKUPs)

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office 365

  • Experience creating presentations and internal communications (videos/materials)

  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail

  • Comfortable working with systems, data, and reporting tools

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
