AUSTIN ISD JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: BD FACILITATOR PROJECT FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT PAY GRADE: PRF 3 DUTY DAYS: 226 DATE REVISED: 05/06/2025 HC FUNDING SOURCE: THIS POSITION IS BOND FUNDED. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required. Three (3) years related experience is required.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires knowledge and skill in the use of personal computers and their software. Incumbent must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and in other computerized applications. This position requires the ability to apply knowledge of process, coordinate projects, organize, and maintain records, and manage time effectively and efficiently. Incumbent must also be able to communicate effectively through written and oral communication and must be able to work effectively with staff.
JOB PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
This position is responsible for providing assistance and staff support for projects administered through the Construction Management Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist with the duties and day-to-day operations of the Construction Management Department. Create and maintain project plans/schedules that identify expectations, deliverables, tasks, milestones dates, status, and resource allocation. Manage day-to-day operational aspects of multiple, concurrent projects including the facilitation of client/team meetings, communication of status, change control process and problem resolution/escalation.
Assist in planning for new construction for bond funded and general funded projects by participating in preconstruction planning meetings; help manage project budgets and funding. Apply appropriate project management techniques to minimize risk and ensure success of all projects. Work closely with the Senior Project Facilitator to ensure projects are on time and completed according to specifications set. Prepare responses to requests for information from various public entities. Prepare reports, agenda items, and other communication items as needed. Provide support for bond project management, including documenting and communicating the status of individual bond projects to campus and community stakeholders. AUSTIN ISD JOB DESCRIPTION Participate in partnering training and facilitate partnering activities as needed. Ensure proper safety practices are followed on all projects. Schedule and follow up the partnering activities planned for each campus. Participate in custom or service training as available. Participate in long-range planning. Generate records to document the progress of individual partnering projects. Provide staff support for meetings as needed. Provide an exceptional customer experience for all AISD stakeholders with intentional and professional practices that promote a culture of respect. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:
Perform other related duties as assigned; however, all employees are expected to comply with lawful directives in rare situations driven by need where a team effort is required.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Services are provided at schools and the central administrative offices working with district staff, campus staff, community members, and partnering facilitators and all partners of a designated project. Some physical exertion may be necessary as required.
PERSONAL WORK RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports directly to the appropriate supervisor of the department. Project facilitator has significant contact with community members, partnering trainers, school campus personnel, and members from the construction teams. The Project facilitator may have contacts with the broader community to support efforts of individual partnering projects, communicate bond project progress, boundary process progress, and other pertinent information related to bond program progress.
