The Bartender possesses the highest comprehension of our food and beverage menus, and is ultimately responsible for providing present, proper, refined service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as the primary guide for each and every guest both at the bar, and in the dining room
Is responsible for preparing all spirits, beer, wine and cocktails to our recipes and standards
Responsible to guide bar guests through the menu, recommending food and beverage pairings
Highlights house specialties
Takes and inputs orders correctly
Maintains a comfortable and clean bar top
Graciously and properly handles payment
Responsible for knowing the food and beverage options available, while also being able to describe the items to the guests and answer questions they may have about the menu
With the support of the bar back and running staff, the Bartender is equipped to deliver the style of service expected of any Garces restaurant
Ability to have a friendly demeanor when present in the restaurant
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to work in a fast paced atmosphere while keeping a professional demeanor
Ability to follow specific beverage recipes according to Garces Group standards
Ability to stand or walk during an entire 8-10 hour shift
Must be able to perform other related tasks designated from the management
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous Bartending experience strongly preferred
High School diploma or GED required
Minimum of 6 months of customer service, retail sales, or food service experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
Must be able to lift plates up to 20 lbs, approximately 20 feet sometimes involving stairs
