Barista - Hospital Café

Location: Local Hospital Café
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 5 days per week, 40 hours/week

Pay: $17/hour
Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly and energetic Barista (Flex) to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service while preparing hand-crafted, high-quality beverages. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is committed to creating a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages to customer specifications
  • Deliver outstanding customer service with a welcoming and professional attitude
  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Operate cash registers and credit card processing systems
  • Address customer questions, concerns, and complaints in a courteous manner
  • Maintain speed and accuracy during peak hours to ensure timely beverage delivery
  • Help maintain a clean and organized workspace
Qualifications
  • Previous barista experience
  • Valid and active Food Handler's Card (required)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
  • Dependable with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a hospital setting and interacting with diverse populations
  • Flexibility with scheduling, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills
Schedule & Availability

This is a flex position, and scheduling will vary based on business needs:
  • Weekday shifts: Monday-Friday between 5:00 AM and 7:00 PM
  • Weekend shifts: Between 5:30 AM and 4:30 PM
  • Candidates must be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts within these hours
