Location Las Vegas, Nevada, with travel also to all entities as needed. Responsibilities - Own and manage all operational execution once an event is booked, ensuring event details are properly communicated and fulfilled.
- Coordinate staffing and scheduling for banquet and catering events based on event size, service needs, and business levels.
- Oversee OpenTable, BEO reservations, ticket sales, and the banquet calendar to ensure accurate planning and timely communication.
- Review each Banquet Event Order with the Chef prior to the event and participate in weekly meetings with culinary leadership.
- Lead pre-event meetings with the operations team, including managers, supervisors, security, maintenance, and any team members involved in setup or event flow.
- Order banquet supplies and maintain proper inventory levels to support upcoming events.
- Ensure event uniforms, banquet equipment, linens, chafers, serving pieces, and other event supplies remain stocked and in good condition.
- Coordinate room setup, breakdown, event flow, service execution, and post-event cleanup.
- Serve as the on-site leader during banquet and catering events, providing direction to team members and resolving operational needs in real time.
- Monitor banquet equipment and supply levels proactively so replacements are ordered before shortages occur.
- Coordinate purchasing needs with the appropriate purchasing contact when additional inventory or supplies are required.
- Close events operationally by verifying sign-in sheets, confirming hours are logged correctly, and communicating gratuity hours to the General Manager for payroll submission.
- Maintain a professional presence with guests, vendors, team members, and leadership while ensuring events meet service and quality expectations.
Skills / Experience - Previous banquet, catering, food and beverage, restaurant, hotel, casino, or event operations experience preferred.
- Supervisory or management experience in a hospitality or guest service environment preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage calendars, event details, staffing needs, and deadlines.
- Ability to read, understand, and execute Banquet Event Orders accurately.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate across departments.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs require.
- Professional appearance and demeanor with a strong commitment to guest service.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use reservation systems, scheduling tools, email, and standard office equipment.
Physical Requirements - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time throughout the casino and property.
- Must be able to move throughout all areas of the property, including back-of-house and public areas.
- Use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and radios as needed.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and varying temperature conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds as necessary.
