Backend / Infrastructure Engineer

Position: Backend / Infrastructure Engineer

Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $140,000 - $210,000

About the Role:

We are hiring mid-level and senior backend engineers to help build an AI-powered platform that is revolutionizing workflows in radiology. In this role, you will design and develop scalable infrastructure that powers our core product, enabling radiologists to work more efficiently and double their productivity. Join our team to work on the cutting edge of AI technology in healthcare, and help transform how image data is processed in radiology.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Architect, develop, and maintain scalable backend services.
Build efficient solutions for serving large image datasets in real-time.
Configure and scale secure multi-tenant cloud infrastructure.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD systems.
Document and maintain RESTful APIs.

Job Requirements:

2–8 years of experience as a backend or infrastructure engineer.
Proficiency in Python with experience using web frameworks such as Flask or Django.
Expertise in deploying and managing web services using Linux, Terraform, CSPs (Google Cloud, AWS), and containers (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
Experience with Postgres and designing infrastructure components at scale.
Knowledge of CI/CD best practices and build system management.
Willingness to work 5 days a week on-site in San Francisco.
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.

Nice to Have:

Experience in image processing or building agentic AI systems.
