Azure Data Engineer - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Azure Data Engineer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

Our client is leading a Digital Transformation across their Americas Division as they continue to modernize technology and focus on a data-driven approach. As a result of this expansion, this role will support the design and development of a strategic data platform for the client's Capital Markets and other securities teams. This position will be part of the Data Strategy team and will be involved in the active development of the data platform on the client's Azure Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in the development of the data platform, beginning with the establishment of a reference data system for securities and pricing data
• Follow internal development standards to contribute to the overall agenda of the Data Strategy team
• Implement solutions on the strategic platform on the client's Azure Cloud Platform

Requirements:

• 10 years of experience in software development using Python, PySpark and its frameworks
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer/Data Quality Engineer with experience in Azure cloud
• Experience implementing solutions using Azure cloud services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Lake Gen 2, Azure Databases, and Azure Databricks
• Experience with Data Quality Frameworks/Solutions such as Collibra Data Quality or other tools (IDQ/IBM/Ab-Initio)
• Knowledge of Collibra Data Governance and Data lineage
• Experience with Power BI
• Well versed with Azure Databricks
• Strong SQL skills with RDBMS or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with the DevOps lifecycle (git, Jenkins, etc) and CI/CD processes
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes

Desired skills:

• Experience in financial services industry, financial instruments, asset classes and market data

Pay range up to: $81.71 per hour
