AWS seeks an experienced Account Manager to own and operate GTM strategy for a territory of Enterprise customers in the Automotive & Manufacturing industry. This district covers a diverse portfolio spanning enterprise software & SaaS, industrial automation & OT, automotive digital marketplaces, mobility technology & telematics, AI infrastructure, and emerging technology - requiring a versatile seller who can navigate complex multi-stakeholder environments across both direct enterprise and ISV/partner co-sell motions.

In this role you will influence customers to build, shape, and accelerate their innovation priorities using AWS technologies and resources. You will manage a portfolio of accounts at various stages of cloud maturity - from greenfield to scaling - and drive adoption across workloads including cloud-native applications, AI/ML, infrastructure migration, IoT, autonomous systems, and marketplace solutions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead a customer-obsessed business across a portfolio of enterprise, ISV, and digital-native accounts in the automotive and manufacturing sector
  • Accelerate customer adoption through comprehensive GTM strategy to achieve customer outcomes
  • Drive market share while achieving and exceeding revenue and non-revenue goals
  • Execute complex commercial agreements including multi-year cloud commitments and Marketplace private offers
  • Build and maintain executive relationships at VP and C-level across all accounts
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AI/ML, cloud-native application modernization, large-scale infrastructure migration, IoT, and autonomous systems
  • Develop and execute account strategies that unlock new workloads and expand AWS consumption across accounts at varying stages of cloud maturity
  • Partner with Solutions Architects, ISV Sales Managers, and Partner teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Drive AWS Marketplace adoption and co-sell motions with technology partners
  • Build and maintain a healthy, well-qualified sales pipeline

A day in the life

You"ll engage automotive and manufacturing technology executives to understand their cloud transformation and AI priorities, collaborate with solution architects to design scalable solutions, and work alongside ISV and partner teams to deliver customer value. Your day might include executive briefings, pipeline reviews, commercial negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure customer success across a diverse portfolio that could span enterprise software platforms, industrial automation systems, digital automotive marketplaces, mobility and telematics solutions, or AI infrastructure workloads.

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
