Automotive Office Manager — Automotive Dealership

    Aurora, CO | Full-Time, On-Site |

    The Opportunity

We're a high-volume dealership in the Aurora market looking for an Accounting Office Manager who can run a clean, current office. This is not a seat where you inherit a mess and firefight — it's a seat where you own the accounting function day to day, keep the schedules tight, and give the Controller and Dealer Principal numbers they can trust.

If you know your way around a dealership DMS, can close a month without drama, and have the presence to lead a small office team, we want to talk.

    What You'll Own

    • Daily management of the accounting office — A/P, A/R, deal posting, and schedule reconciliation
    • Supervision, training, and workflow for the office staff (billing clerk, title clerk, cashiers)
    • Month-end close and preparation of the factory financial statement
    • Reconciliation of all balance sheet schedules — kept current, not caught up at close
    • Floorplan reconciliation and payoff tracking
    • Warranty and contract receivables — aging monitored and cleared, not parked
    • Bank reconciliations, daily cash management, and deposit oversight
    • Payroll processing and commission calculations for sales and fixed ops
    • Title and registration compliance, working with the title clerk to keep DMV work current
    • Support for the annual audit and factory review process

    What You Bring

    Required

    • 3+ years of dealership accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role
    • Hands-on proficiency with a dealership DMS — CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or Tekion
    • Working knowledge of the dealership financial statement and how each schedule ties to it
    • Demonstrated ability to reconcile schedules on a current basis
    • Comfort managing people, deadlines, and department heads who need answers

    Preferred

    • Experience at a multi-franchise or high-volume store
    • Familiarity with factory reporting requirements for [Manufacturer]
    • Payroll and commission plan administration experience
    • Background supporting a Controller in a store doing [XXX]+ units per month

    Why This Store

    • Stable, established ownership with a long-tenured management team
    • A Controller who wants an office manager to actually manage — not a glorified clerk
    • Clear path toward a Controller role for the right person

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary range: $90,000 – $98,500 per year, depending on experience and dealership accounting depth
    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
    • 401(k) with company match
    • Paid time off and paid holidays
    • Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts
