Location: San Antonio, TX 78249
Pay Rate: $21-$28/hr
Description: Audio/Video Technicians
TradeSTAR is currently hiring experienced Audio/Video Technicians for commercial AV integration and low-voltage installation projects in the San Antonio area.
Job Responsibilities
Install and support commercial audio/video systems and infrastructure
Pull, route, dress, and terminate low-voltage AV cabling
Install and configure displays, monitors, projectors, projection screens, video conferencing systems, distributed audio systems, DSP equipment, control systems, digital signage, and AV racks/head-end equipment
Install ceiling speakers, wall-mounted displays, microphones, amplifiers, and touch panels
Build and dress AV equipment racks and cable management systems
Terminate and test HDMI, Cat6/Cat6A, audio cabling, fiber optic cabling, and control wiring
Read and interpret blueprints, AV schematics, signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, and one-line diagrams
Troubleshoot signal flow, connectivity, and device communication issues
Assist with system testing, commissioning, and final client turnover
Maintain labeling, documentation, and quality control standards
Qualifications
1+ years of commercial AV or low-voltage installation experience
Experience with structured cabling and AV device installation
Ability to read AV drawings and installation documentation
Familiarity with commercial construction environments
Ability to work from ladders and lifts
Reliable transportation and basic hand tools required
Preferred Experience
Experience with Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, Logitech, Shure, Poly, Samsung, LG, and Cisco Webex systems preferred
CTS certification is a plus but not required
