We are seeking an experienced Permanent Attorney to join our dynamic and fast-paced legal team. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in complex, high-stakes litigation and trial work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, legal writing, and deposition, with a proven track record in discovery, motions, and trial work. This role requires a commitment to exceptional client service and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on a wide range of complex legal issues to support case preparation and strategy development.
2. Draft, review, and revise various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses.
3. Represent clients in court, presenting evidence, arguing cases, and cross-examining witnesses.
4. Conduct depositions to gather information for use in trial.
5. Manage all aspects of the discovery process, including coordinating with clients and opposing counsel, managing document production, and preparing for depositions.
6. Develop trial strategies and represent clients in all phases of trial proceedings, from jury selection to closing arguments.
7. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective handling of cases.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal precedents, changes in laws and regulations, and advancements in the legal industry to provide accurate advice and representation to clients.
9. Provide exceptional client service, maintaining regular communication to keep clients informed about the status of their cases and legal issues.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the Washington State Bar.
3. A minimum of 6 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with substantial experience in trial work, depositions, discovery, and motions.
4. Proven experience in legal research and legal writing.
5. Demonstrated ability to handle high-stakes litigation.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively in the face of legal challenges.
8. Exceptional client service skills, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
9. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
10. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients and to build strong professional relationships.
