Attorney - Nashville, TN
Duration: 12-month contract, Hybrid
Seeking for an Attorney to support the regulation of healthcare professionals. This role involves handling disciplinary cases and working on special projects to enhance rural healthcare infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the department in administrative law cases before health-related boards.
- Review complaints and investigations involving healthcare licensees in rural counties.
- Provide legal support for department investigators and licensing board consultants.
- Manage all aspects of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trials.
- Assist with legislative projects, including bill analysis.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Litigation experience with trials.
- Ability to manage and prioritize a large volume of work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Education:
- JD, admitted to TN Bar with a license in good standing required.
- At least 1 year of relevant legal experience preferred.
Must-Have Skills:
- Legal experience: 1-3 years.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Strong proofreading and editing skills.
- Excellent verbal communication abilities.
