Description

An established litigation practice is seeking an Appellate Attorney with at least 4 years of direct appellate experience for its Midtown Manhattan office. The position offers a hybrid schedule of three days in-office and two days remote, with Mondays in-office.

The Role

  • Draft appellants’ and respondents’ briefs
  • Compile records or appendices on appeal when representing the appellant
  • Appear for oral argument
  • Assist with summary judgment and post-trial motions
  • Provide litigation strategy and support during trials

 

What You Bring

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • New York Bar admission at the time of interview and good standing
  • Minimum 4 years of direct appellate experience
  • Strong appellate brief-writing and oral advocacy skills
  • Experience compiling records or appendices on appeal
  • Ability to meet a 1,650 annual billable-hour requirement
