Complex Commercial Litigation Attorney – Los Angeles
A highly regarded litigation boutique is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Los Angeles office. The practice handles a broad range of sophisticated matters, including commercial disputes, employment litigation, securities litigation, class actions, professional negligence matters, entertainment-related disputes, and other high-stakes litigation on both the plaintiff and defense side.
This opportunity is well-suited for a strong writer who can independently manage complex litigation matters and contribute immediately to ongoing cases.
What You'll Do
Manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution
Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses
Take and defend depositions
Conduct legal research and case analysis
Appear in court for hearings, oral arguments, and case management proceedings
Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement discussions
Manage large-scale discovery and e-discovery efforts
Work directly with clients regarding strategy and case management
Collaborate with litigation teams on sophisticated matters
Assist with trial preparation and trial work
Mentor junior attorneys and litigation support personnel when appropriate
Experience in both state and federal courts preferred
Significant deposition, motion practice, and court appearance experience
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
California Bar membership in good standing
Strong academic credentials preferred
Compensation
Base salary ranging from $150,000 to $220,000+
Discretionary bonuses are typically based on the quality of work and overall performance
