In this role, you will work closely with partners, associates, and support staff in a highly collaborative environment.A bit about us:You will have the opportunity to take depositions, attend mediations, evaluate cases, work with experts, draft pleadings, participate in hearings and trials, and interact directly with clients.Why join us?My client offers a manageable billable hour requirement, along with the opportunity for hybrid work, combining both in‑office and remote days. The firm places a strong emphasis on equity, diversity, and inclusion, recognizing that a commitment to EDI makes them more effective advocates for their clients.Job DetailsResponsibilities:Representing clients in court, before government agencies, or in private legal matters.Communicating with clients, colleagues, judges, and others involved in the case.Conducting research and analysis of legal problems.Interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.Presenting facts in writing and verbally to their clients or others, and arguing on behalf of their clients.Preparing and filing legal documents, such as lawsuits, appeals, wills, contracts, and deeds.Managing and overseeing paralegals and legal assistants.Developing strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.Guiding and advising clients in taking appropriate legal action.Qualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the state bar.Proven background of successful litigation.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make well‑reasoned legal arguments.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.High level of professionalism and confidentiality.Strong negotiation skills.Proven ability to work as part of a team and independently.In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your skills and expertise to make a real difference in the lives of our clients.
