The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice on a range of matters, including land acquisition and disposition, land use, entitlement, zoning, and development. This role involves representing the company in various legal interactions and disputes, as well as drafting and negotiating a variety of complex real estate contracts and agreements. The Associate General Counsel will also be involved in managing environmental, title, and survey reviews for real estate transactions, and ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.Applicants must have a J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school, an active license to practice law in Florida, and a minimum of 12 years of experience in the relevant legal fields, preferably with a focus on homebuilding and land development. The role requires excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to provide strategic and practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment. Strong drafting and writing skills, the ability to handle a high volume of work, and proficiency in various computer applications are essential.
