About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing practical and commercial legal advice to the property management team, with a focus on the legal aspects of operating and managing affordable, mixed-income housing, and commercial communities. This role involves significant exposure to business leaders and requires a collaborative, results-oriented, and entrepreneurial approach. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6-8 years' experience as a residential and/or commercial real estate attorney, with a preference for those with a background in affordable housing and community development law, landlord/tenant matters, property management, fair housing, and general corporate work.Applicants for the Associate General Counsel position at the company should be Bar admitted in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or willing to become licensed as in-house counsel. The role demands a professional with a strong legal background in real estate, particularly in the areas of affordable housing and community development. The candidate must be adept at handling a variety of legal issues related to property management, including but not limited to, landlord/tenant matters, fair housing, and general corporate work.
