Associate Director & Counsel – Commercial Engines We have an exciting hybrid opportunity for an Associate Director & Counsel for Pratt & Whitney's Commercial Engines!This business includes both the GTF and the mature engine platforms, including engines for the V2500, PW4000, PW2000, GP7000, JT8D, and Pratt & Whitney Power Systems model engine programs.Responsibilities Provide transactional support across all aspects of the P&L, including negotiating complex commercial agreements with customers and airframers globally, providing program support, advising on regulatory compliance, and communicating with customers, airframers, regulators, and program partners.Required Qualifications Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) and 10+ years of relevant legal experience, including 5+ years of legal experience at a law firm with commercial transactions, M&A, or strong litigation experience resolving commercial disputes.Good standing with a state bar association and in‑house counsel registration in a timely manner following hire.U.S. citizenship – required for access to certain systems.Ability to travel to support business needs, including significant on‑site presence in East Hartford, Connecticut.Preferred Qualifications Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with solid executive presence.Strong leadership and team‑player qualities with excellent judgment and professional maturity.Demonstrated ability to multi‑task, manage multiple deadlines simultaneously, and provide guidance and practical solutions to cross‑functional projects effectively and on time.Ability to work with minimal daily supervision and balance numerous priorities within compressed timeframes.Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a fast‑paced environment of rapidly changing demands.Benefits Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
