    Summary: Provides guidance and advisory support to all departments on legal matters and represents Rivers on certain civil litigation, employment and regulatory matters.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Represent Rivers in a variety of civil litigation matters.
    • Represent Rivers in connection with employment and labor law disputes.
    • Draft and review contracts on behalf of Rivers.
    • Provide legal advice to all Rivers departments.
    • Assist the General Counsel on all Rivers matters including various administrative duties.
    • Independently manage an active caseload.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be 18 years of age or older.
    • Law Degree from ABA accredited law school
    • Member of Pennsylvania Bar.
    • 3+ years' litigation experience, with an emphasis on personal injury, labor and employment; workers compensation experience a plus.
    • Excellent drafting and negotiating skills.
    • Ability to lead a team as well as roll up your sleeves and work independently.
    • A conceptual thinker with strong vision, judgment and intellect with ability to work quickly on and prioritize a wide variety of projects.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with team members at all levels.
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with quick deadlines and multiple demands.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.

    Physical and Mental Demands:

    • Regularly required to see, walk, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
    • Must occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
    • Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor.
