A bit about us:

We are working with a busy boutique law firm in Tampa, FL that is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their IP/Trademark team! The firm represents major trademark owners in managing their trademark portfolios, and routinely handles copyright and trademark registration, policing, and related disputes.

Location: Tampa, FL (this is an on-site position)
Base Salary Range: $120k-$135k/year + bonuses
Billable Hour Requirement: 1800/year

Job Details

The Associate Attorney will:

• Provide defamation defense and prepublication review and advice
• Assisting clients with public records matters
• Responding to media subpoenas and helping to protect newsgathering
• Performing trademark clearance reviews
• Prosecuting trademark and copyright applications
• Responding to PTO office actions
• Handling trademark opposition and domain-name proceedings
• Litigating media, trademark, and business disputes in Florida’s state and federal courts; and drafting trademark and copyright agreements.

Qualifications:

• Experience in litigation generally, and media and trademark law in particular.
• An active membership in The Florida Bar
• Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
