Moskovic & Associates is a boutique family law litigation firm based in Arlington Heights, IL, serving clients across Cook, Lake, Will, McHenry, Kane and DuPage counties. The firm is built on a reputation for excellent client communication and aggressive, knowledgeable advocacy.

This is a long-term platform role with a clear path to a senior position over time with the firm. The right candidate will have real autonomy, direct partner access, and a firm that is genuinely invested in their development.

About the Role

You’ll carry a full family law litigation caseload from intake through trial, working alongside senior partners while owning your matters independently. The role includes regular Zoom and in-person court appearances across Cook and surrounding counties, drafting and managing discovery, and maintaining tight client communication. The schedule is genuinely flexible: you work from home by default and come into the Arlington Heights office when there’s a reason: client meetings, specific firm needs, or your own preference. There is no mandatory in-office day count. Zoom and in-person court appearances are built into the role, not treated as an inconvenience to the remote schedule.

Attorneys who originate new client matters earn 20% of all earned and paid fees for clients they bring in. Business development is encouraged but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses
• Draft Marital Settlement Agreements and Allocation Judgments
• Appear in Zoom and in-person court on routine matters as well as contested and evidentiary hearings and trials
• Prepare Pre-Trial Memos, Witness Disclosures, and Exhibits
• Manage cases from intake through resolution with consistent client communication
• Navigate county court portals and filing systems independently
• Cover Zoom and in-person court appearances across Cook, Lake, Will, McHenry, Kane and DuPage counties with reliable transportation
• Meet deadlines and billing requirements without close supervision

Requirements

Experience and background:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in family law litigation
• Demonstrated ability to draft pleadings, motions, discovery, MSAs, and Allocation Judgments
• Prior courtroom experience in contested and evidentiary hearings and trials

Must-haves:

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage a caseload independently without extensive supervision

• Excellent communicator, confident in presenting to the court and maintaining strong client relationships
• Detail-oriented with high standards for deadlines, billing integrity, and professional conduct

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $85,000–$90,000, commensurate with experience
• 20% of all earned and paid fees for clients originated
• Group health plan available; firm contributes to premium based on plan cost and salary
• 9 paid holidays: New Year’s Eve & Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Friday after, Christmas Eve & Day
• 9 days of PTO accrued in year 1
