Associate Attorney

Northern Virginia Association of REALTORS is seeking an Associate Attorney with a deep understanding of Real Estate law and best practices in Virginia.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear and concise manner.Responsibilities Provide accurate legal advice to the CEO and Board, ensuring operational compliance with federal, state, and local laws.Collaborate with the education team to ensure legal accuracy and regulatory compliance for CE, PLE, and specialty courses in VA, MD, and DC.Manage the legal hotline, ensuring timely communication and accurate reporting/documentation.Oversee association and corporate legal matters, including filings, meeting minutes, trademark/copyright protections, and outside counsel coordination.Support state agency engagement on instructor certification and licensing approvals.Prepare and create legal content for articles, blogs, videos, etc. on trending topics that are relevant and informative to members.Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.Licensed attorney in Virginia (required).Active Bar membership in good standing (Virginia required).3-5 years of experience in the real estate industry working directly with clients and members.Strong background working directly with clients or members.Experience in public speaking, teaching, and writing.What We Offer A competitive salary range of $100,000-$115,000 yearly, determined by experience and proven ability.A comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) with match, Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, and a 37.5-hour workweek with flexible start and end times.#J-18808-Ljbffr
