POSITION TITLE: Associate Application Developer

DEPARTMENT: GTO - TSG - Cloud DevOps, Automation and AI

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a comparable technical/engineering field, or equivalent work experience required
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem including SharePoint Online, Teams and Outlook preferred
  • Experience with relational data sources such as SQL Server preferred
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles and experience designing user-friendly, business-focused applications preferred
  • Experience working on Scrum/Agile projects, Azure DevOps (or similar tools), and Git code version control preferred
  • Experience with backlog management, gathering requirements and testing preferred

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Design, develop, and maintain business applications using Microsoft Power Platform to meet evolving business needs with appropriate guidance
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand current processes, pain points and opportunities for workflow automation
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, user-friendly solutions, ensuring performance, usability, and alignment with governance standards
  • Develop using an Agile approach by quickly delivering proof-of-concept apps and workflows while using feedback loops to refine usability and functionality
  • Optimize applications and system resources to ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability
  • Adhere to established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards, including coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and incident management
  • Coordinate and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate solutions against business requirements and ensure successful adoption
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and Power Platform capabilities, recommending improvements and innovation opportunities
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Monitor and support production applications, including troubleshooting issues and providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 on-call support on a rotational basis

HOURS/LOCATION:

  • 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Overtime as required)
