Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Second Shift Assistant Warehouse Supervisor will oversee nightly warehouse operations, lead a team of approximately 20 employees, and ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. This individual will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, maintaining productivity standards, and cultivating a positive, accountable workplace culture.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise, direct, and support approximately 20 second-shift warehouse employees.
    • Assign daily work, establish priorities, and clearly communicate expectations.
    • Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or priorities as operational needs change.
    • Ensure nightly warehouse operations are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
    • Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and workflow.
    • Address employee performance, attendance, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters in a professional and timely manner.
    • Review and maintain payroll, attendance, and timekeeping records.
    • Oversee the proper use of RF scanners, warehouse management systems, and inventory processes.
    • Ensure inventory transactions and warehouse documentation remain accurate and up to date.
    • Train, coach, and mentor employees on operational procedures, safety standards, and performance expectations.
    • Promote a collaborative, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
    • Enforce company policies, procedures, and warehouse safety standards.
    • Complete end-of-shift responsibilities, including securing the facility and remaining on-site until nightly operations have been completed.

    Requirements:

    • Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, logistics, or similar fast-paced operational environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop employees while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
    • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, workflow coordination, and productivity management.
    • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to effectively prioritize work and adapt to changing operational demands.
    • Experience utilizing warehouse technology, including RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, or similar platforms.
    • Ability to manage employee performance, provide constructive coaching and feedback, and professionally address attendance, performance, or disciplinary matters.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
    • Commitment to workplace safety, operational excellence, and maintaining accurate documentation, inventory records, and timekeeping information.
    • Experience supervising larger warehouse teams, forklift operation, and implementing process improvements is preferred.
    • Ability to work a second-shift schedule in a physically active warehouse environment, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and remaining on-site until nightly operations have been completed.
    • Valid driver's license required.
