Job Summary: 
The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in all aspects of the classroom. This role is essential for maintaining a high-quality environment, managing group activities, and stepping in as the Lead Teacher when necessary. 

Key Responsibilities: 
Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily activities and curriculum as planned. 
Help prepare classroom materials, organize learning centers, and maintain cleanliness and sanitation. 
Supervise children actively during indoor, outdoor, and transition times, always ensuring adherence to ratio and safety standards. 
Assist with personal care routines including feeding, diapering/toileting, and nap time supervision. 
Step into the Lead Teacher role for short periods (ex. during planning time or breaks). 

Qualifications: 
High School Diploma or GED. 
State-specific credential, ex., CDA or 6 ECE college credits preferred. 
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and physically engage with young children (sitting on the floor, bending, running).
