With a strong backlog of work and continued growth, they are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support project teams and gain hands-on experience managing complex commercial construction projects from award through closeout.

Description

The Assistant Project Manager will:

  • Support Project Managers with the daily execution of public and commercial construction projects
  • Assist in maintaining project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking reports
  • Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Assist with bid solicitation, subcontractor buyout, and procurement activities
  • Track permits, inspections, and regulatory requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and owners
  • Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes and follow-up action items
  • Support contract administration and compliance requirements for public projects
  • Assist with payment applications, invoice processing, and financial reporting
  • Monitor project progress and help identify potential issues impacting schedule or budget
  • Support Quality Assurance and Quality Control efforts throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assist with project closeout, punch-list completion, and turnover documentation

Profile

The successful Assistant Project Manager will have:

  • 1-4 years of construction experience with a General Contractor, Construction Manager, or related construction firm
  • Experience on commercial, public, education, healthcare, municipal, or institutional projects preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
  • Understanding of construction documents, RFIs, submittals, and project coordination processes
  • Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Desire to advance into a Project Manager role
