The Assistant Safety Manager - Commercial/Civil - Baltimore, MD will be responsible for conducting routine jobsite safety inspections and audits across multiple active projects. Partnering with project teams to identify hazards and implement practical safety solutions. Providing hands-on safety coaching and guidance to field personnel, subcontractors, and supervisors. Supporting and delivering safety training programs, toolbox talks, and compliance initiatives. Monitoring adherence to OSHA standards and company safety policies. Assisting with incident investigations, corrective action implementation, and safety documentation. Maintaining accurate reports, inspection records, and compliance tracking documentation. Serving as a trusted resource for project teams on safety best practices and risk management. Collaborating with operations leadership to continuously improve safety performance and culture. Reporting directly to the Safety Director and support company-wide safety initiatives.

The Assistant Safety Manager - Commercial/Civil - Baltimore, MD should have 2+ years of safety experience within the construction sector (civil or commercial). OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications required. OSHA Trainer certification preferred. Current First Aid and CPR certification. Flagger certification required. Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) certification required. Telehandler certification required. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety practices, and risk mitigation. Ability to build relationships with field teams and communicate effectively at all levels. Comfortable traveling between jobsites throughout Maryland.
