Our crews and project teams are known for clean installs, reliable schedules, and doing the job right the first time.The RoleWe're looking for an Assistant Project Manager with at least two years of commercial construction experience who wants to grow into a full Project Manager with a subcontractor that builds from within. You'll work alongside senior PMs and superintendents on active drywall and framing projects, handling the documentation, coordination, and financial tracking that keep jobs profitable and on schedule. You won't spend your days making copies. You'll own real pieces of real projects from buyout through closeout.What You'll HandleProject Documentation and ControlsPrepare, submit, and track submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings with the GC and design teamDraft and log change orders, and track approved and pending changes against the contractHelp build schedules of values and prepare monthly pay applicationsMaintain contracts, purchase orders, and project records in Procore or similar platformsField and GC CoordinationServe as a day-to-day contact for general contractors, superintendents, and suppliersCoordinate material deliveries, manpower needs, and sequencing with field leadershipWalk jobsites to track progress, verify quantities, and flag conflicts earlyAttend OAC and coordination meetings and follow through on action itemsCost and Schedule TrackingMonitor job costs, labor hours, and material usage against the budgetSupport buyout of materials and subcontracted scopesUpdate look-ahead schedules and report progress to the PMQuality and CloseoutReview plans and specs to confirm installs match the contract documentsSupport punch list completion, O&M manuals, warranties, and closeout packagesWhat You Need2+ years of commercial construction experience in an APM, project coordinator, project engineer, or field role (subcontractor experience strongly preferred)Working knowledge of submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applicationsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsFamiliarity with metal framing, drywall, or acoustical ceiling systems is a strong plusProficiency in Excel and Outlook; Procore or other construction management software experience preferred (we'll train you on our systems)Degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred but not required with relevant experienceWhy UCSA clear path to Project Manager backed by hands-on mentorship from experienced PMsReal responsibility on commercial projects from day oneThe stability and backing of a national Top 50 wall and ceiling contractorCompetitive salary and a full benefits packageIf you've been coordinating commercial projects and you're ready for the next step, apply today!United Contractor Services, LLC is part of The United Family of Companies, an equal opportunity employer.
