Assistant Project Manager - Construction - Queens

Job Description

As an Assistant Project Manager - Construction - Queens, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Project Managers throughout the construction lifecycle
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking
  • Managing RFIs, submittals, and change order logs
  • Coordinating with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and ownership teams
  • Assisting with procurement and contract administration
  • Tracking project schedules and milestone completion
  • Preparing project reports and maintaining documentation
  • Attending project meetings and distributing meeting minutes
  • Supporting quality control and safety initiatives
  • Monitoring project progress and identifying potential issues
  • Assisting with project closeout and turnover activities
  • Maintaining strong relationships with project stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

The successful Assistant Project Manager - Construction - Queens will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in construction project management or project coordination
  • Experience working on commercial, multifamily, healthcare, or mixed-use projects preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction documents and project processes
  • Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project controls
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to grow into a Project Manager role
